{About Me}

Hi. I'm Laura, and I'm so glad you're here!

What's going on here?
This blog is a place for me to share my creative adventures. I post art, crafts, DIY and share recipes. I'm always working on something and I would love to share it with you!

Who's this chick?
I love to spend time with my family, photography, reading, fitness, bargain shopping and ALL things crafty! I have been interested in art since I could hold a crayon and I enjoy doing anything from crochet to home improvement projects. We currently live in Colorado where we spend as much time outside as we can!

How the blog got started...
A couple years ago I made a bunch of crochet hats as gifts and posted them on Facebook for my friends and family to see. Everyone kept saying I should try and sell them. After seeing their enthusiasm, I began to think I might just give it a try. My blog started as a platform to do just that. I had a plan...get my blog going, get some followers through Facebook and Pinterest, then try to lure as many people as I can by showing my craftiness and yummy food. After I got their attention...BAM! I was going to open my shop, make mad money and hopefully get a call from the Today Show wanting to do a story about my crazy overnight success. Yeah right!  My Etsy Shop opened in October 2013 and I drive myself crazy trying to balance that and adding fun, new content to my blog. I've been working on my blog for over three years now and I enjoy learning something new every chance I get.

  2. I hope you are still blogging...I saw your finished version of Mary Walker's Amigurumi Lily Baby Beagle Dog and loved how yours turned out. I know it was years ago for you but maybe you can help me understand the pattern...please..not sure if it's going right.
