Custom Thank You Cards For Etsy

Make your own thank you cards for your Etsy shop
with a custom QR code

I've been including a little printed thank you card with all my Etsy packages, kinda generic...thank you for your purchase, contact me with any questions, follow me on social media, blah, blah, blah. I've been wanting to redo these cards for a while. I did them in a hurry and they didn't really reflect my brand. Also, it was impossible to include all the ways for people to find me online and let's be honest, these probably ended up in the trash without serving any purpose:-( I may never get repeat customers if they can't find me again or don't know I'm working on new products!

With our blogs, shops and all our social media accounts, we have a LOT of links to share. Everyone has their own preference for where they like to connect, so it's important to give your readers/customers options. I've found I really prefer to share on Instagram. With Instagram, you can only add one link to your profile, which led me to start using Linktree. Linktree allows you to provide links for all your online accounts in one place. If this sounds good to you, set that up.

Brilliant, now what? Well, on the Linktree website, you can generate your own custom QR code! Open your account, find the share button and click "Download my Linktree QR code" Customers can just scan that little square with their phone and boom, your Linktree account opens and they can choose where they want to go quickly and easily!

Not interested in Linktree or you use another "link in bio" platform? There are other ways to generate a QR code that will open straight to a website. Just do an online search for "free QR code generator" and multiple options will pop up. Here's one I tried that works fast and easy QR Code Monkey

Now that you have the QR code figured out and downloaded, you need to make the card to attach it to. I used Canva for this. You can try that or use any design platform you prefer. HERE are some others that I've tried. First thing, click Create A Design and then choose Custom Size. Printing these on an unlined 3x5 index card was super cost-effective and easy, just make sure your printer can be adjusted to print on an index card. When you enter the size for your design, it needs to be in the same ratio as what you're going to print it on. For mine, I did 1500x900 px (I now see that I could have chosen 5x3 inches also)

You can get started styling your card! Add your logo, a message, and a coupon code if you want. Don't forget your QR code! The great thing about Canva is that your design is saved in your account so you can easily go back anytime and make edits. When you have everything the way you want it, download your design.

Now the fun part...load your index cards into the printer, change the settings for the paper size. Open your design and click to print. In the print window, make sure you have the orientation correct(landscape or portrait) and adjust the paper size to 3x5 index card. Now fire away one and make sure it comes out the way you want!
